Contractors Overstock is a building-materials supplier trading from 2208 Old Covington Hwy, Conyers, GA 30012. This policy explains what we collect when you use contractors-overstock.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to describe how the site actually works rather than to cover every eventuality.
The short version
We collect what we need to answer your enquiry and get your order to you, and nothing else. We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or any third-party tracker on this site. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
What we collect
When you place an order
We collect your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number, and the contents of your order. We need this to take payment, prepare your materials, arrange collection or delivery, and keep the records a business is required to keep.
When you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject and message. That message is emailed to us and is not stored in a database on this website. We keep the correspondence for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us about it.
When you create an account
An account is optional — you can check out as a guest. If you create one, we store your name, email address and the addresses you save, so you do not have to type them again.
When you leave a comment
If you comment on the site we collect what you type in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user-agent string, which help us detect spam.
Automatically
Our server keeps standard access logs — IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent. These are used to keep the site running and secure, not to build a profile of you.
Payment
The only payment method currently offered is payment on collection or delivery. We do not ask for, receive, or store card numbers through this website. If we add an online payment provider in future, your card details will go directly to that provider and will not pass through our systems.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores on your device. This site uses them for three things:
- Your cart and session — so the site remembers what you have added and keeps you signed in. Without these the shop cannot work.
- Your cookie choice — the consent banner records what you chose so it does not ask again on every page.
- Performance — our caching layer uses cookies to tell logged-in visitors apart from everyone else, so it serves the right version of a page.

Who else sees your information

How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account. Contact enquiries are kept while they are live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. We will not be able to delete records we are legally required to keep, such as completed order and tax records, but we will tell you when that is the case. Children
This site sells building materials to trade and retail customers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, so what passes between your browser and our server is encrypted. No website can promise perfect security, but we keep the software up to date and limit who can reach customer data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information — for example when we add an online payment provider — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
